Hello,

apologize in advance for posting a new topic in English but I cannot speak Polish and nobody knows hot to deal with my problem in my country.

So the problem is when I start the engine than the tachometer (obrotomierz) goes immediatelly up to the highest rpm. The engine has a carburetor and I´ve already check a choke valve and trottle wire and everything works fine (with the engine off).

Does anybody had the same problem or does somebody know where is the problem?

First of all - Hi and welcome

To be precise - only the tachometer goes to the max, not the engine? The RPM gauge works depending on the voltage given by the RPM sensor so maybe it is at fault.
Other option is a faulty tacho. There might be a short somewhere in the tachometer circuitry and the gauge is set to max as the voltage is +12V (I'm guessing it works somewhere at 0-10V max).
I'll try and find where the RPM meter is located in a GA16DS (carb) engine; i'm guessing its in the ECU which is in the passenger's footwell.

edit: there were 2 posts with the same fault - RPM gauge gone haywire - both guys claimed that the tachometer cluster was at fault. The soldering, to be precise. Re-soldering every joint seems to cure the problem. If you have a soldering iron U can try to do it yourself. Getting the cluster out is a bit of a hassle as the speedometer cable is very short (unscrewing it on the gearbox may help).
